From 1 August 2026, both businesses will begin coming together under one clearer name: Ready Accounting.
These answers explain what is changing, what will stay the same and what you can expect during the transition.

What is changing?
Tax Store Mackay and Accountant Ready Services are coming together under one new name: Ready Accounting.
This gives us one clearer brand for the support we provide across tax, bookkeeping and advisory.
Why is the name changing?
Tax Store Mackay and Accountant Ready Services have worked closely together for many years.
Bringing both businesses together under the Ready Accounting name gives us a clearer way to explain the services we provide, while keeping the same local team, office and client care you already know.
Are Tax Store Mackay and Accountant Ready Services closing?
No. Tax Store Mackay and Accountant Ready Services are not closing. They are coming together under the Ready Accounting name.
When does the change happen?
The official name change will take effect from 1 August 2026.
The transition will continue during August and September, with the main transition expected to be completed by 30 September 2026.
What if I still see Tax Store Mackay or Accountant Ready Services branding after 1 August?
You may still see Tax Store Mackay or Accountant Ready Services branding in a few places during August and September while we finish updating everything. This may include emails, documents, online listings, forms, signage or other materials.
What stays the same
Is the team changing?
No. You will continue to be supported by the same team you already know.
Is the office changing?
No. Our office location is staying the same at the address shown on this page.
Is the phone number changing?
Tax Store Mackay’s main phone number will stay the same. Accountant Ready Services calls will move across to the Ready Accounting office number shown on this page.
The current Accountant Ready Services number will continue to forward to our office until 30 September 2026.
Will my usual contact change?
No. You will continue to be supported by the same team you already know.
Will my current appointment or work be affected?
No. Current appointments, tax returns, bookkeeping work or other services will continue as normal.
Will your fees change because of the new name?
No. The name change itself does not change your fees. If there are ever any changes to pricing for a particular service, we will communicate that with you separately.
Your services
Are your services changing?
The way we support you day to day does not need to change.
Whether you come to us for your individual tax return, business tax, bookkeeping, advisory support or a mix of these, you can continue working with us in the same way you do now.
Ready Accounting allows us to expand our support across tax, bookkeeping and advisory, while giving you the flexibility to choose the services that suit your needs.
What services will Ready Accounting provide?
Ready Accounting will provide support across three main areas:
- Tax
Individual tax returns, business tax and related taxation support. - Bookkeeping
Bookkeeping, payroll and business record-keeping support. - Advisory
Practical business support and advisory services.
Do I have to use all your services?
No. You can choose the services that suit your needs.
Some clients only need help with their individual tax return. Others need bookkeeping, business tax or advisory support. Some choose a mix of services.
There is no requirement to use more than one service.
Will individual tax returns still be available?
Yes. Individual tax returns will continue as normal.
Will bookkeeping services still be available?
Yes. Bookkeeping services will continue as normal.

Will your email addresses change?
Yes. Ready Accounting email addresses are listed on this website.
Old email addresses will continue to forward to the new email addresses until 30 September 2026.
Will your website change?
Yes. This is the new Ready Accounting website.
Do I need to do anything?
No. There is nothing you need to do right now. We will continue to keep you updated as the transition progresses.
Will payment details change?
If any payment details change, we will let you know directly.
Please continue to be cautious with any emails or messages requesting payment to new bank details. If you are ever unsure, please contact our office before making payment.
